We made an OWL version of the classic Louisiana King Cake!
Ours is a lightly sweet, moist brioche cake with a swirl of almond butter and spice and a subtle cream cheese icing. In lieu of sprinkles, in OWL fashion, the cake is colorfully garnished with crystallized herbs, blueberry-dusted lavender buds, and golden toasted heirloom grits.
A plumped apricot is hidden inside to represent the baby!
We use exclusively organic flours, butter, and sugar.
